Educational background

Ben Langelier arrived in Austria in 1998 as part of a Management team for Banque Nationale de Paris (BNP Paribas). He began his Banking career in 1984 as a dealer in the Canadian financial markets.

Professional background

Over the next 20 years he moved up through the ranks of various banking institutions in Canada and abroad to attain the highest levels of Management, including positions as Member of the Executive Board (Vorstand) and of the Supervisory Board. Ben Langelier began actively training and coaching for the Canadian Securities Institute in the 80’s, and has been an “on-the-job” trainer for most of his career. Since 2005, he has been advising and training managers, in Austria and CEE, in various strategic issues. He is a native speaker in English.

Ben Langelier is an active negotiator. He trains, prepares and shadows business people through the final conclusion of their projects, and has on occasion been invited to get directly involved in transactions. As an ex-banker with experience in capital markets, he specializes in the acquisition and disposition of assets such as non-performing loans, high-yield portfolios or distressed assets.
